The Ministry of Maintenance
What if your hair care routine could become a way of honoring God?
β
Not because we worship our hair. But because we recognize it as something He created and has given to us. God has called us to be stewards of the things He has entrusted to us.
β
Stewardship should show up in the things we do every day:
β
- In how we treat our bodies
- In how we care for what we have
- Even in how we handle our hair
β
When you moisturize your ends, wrap your hair at night, or pause to detangle gently, you are not just preserving length. You are practicing intentional stewardship.
β
You are resisting the urge to rush and choosing care instead. That choice can be an expression of gratitude. A quiet way to say, βLord, I value what You gave me. Thank youβ
β
Here are a few ways to bring that mindset into your hair care routines:
β
- Moisturize & seal your ends with gratitude, not just a task to do
- Choose protective styles that give your hair rest and reduce stress
- Sleep on silk or satin as an act of preparation and care
- Detangle slowly with gentleness and patience
- Trim your hair as needed as a form of release and renewal
- Let go of all pressure to prove growth and focus on consistency and kindness to yourself

ππ½ PRAYER REQUESTS
β
At the end of each month, I take time out to pray for my newsletter subscribers. From time to time, I will share submitted prayer requests so that you can agree in prayer as well.
β
God wants us to pray for one another that we may all be healed. Plus, when you take the time to pray for others, it takes your mind off your own issues. Then, before you know it, you'll discover that God is moving on your behalf, too.
β
Please add these people to your prayer time. They've given the OK to share their requests. No need to know their names. God knows:
β
- IM is requesting prayer for her family, job, and relationship
- TH is requesting prayer for God to provide finances so she can move to her own home
- MC is requesting prayer to experience the peace of God, His presence, clarity for her life, and a home for her family

βFather, I know you hear the cries of your children. You say in Your word that the seed of the righteous will be delivered, that you would supply all of their needs according to Your riches in glory. It is not your will that any child of yours feels stuck, lacks, or struggles to hear from you. So, I ask that you move on their behalf, that you supply every one of their needs, and that you open doors that only you can open. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
