Reader,
β
Some women seem to handle life with a calm strength that inspires everyone around them (I'm working on being one).
β
The Proverbs 31 woman was one of those women, and her secret was simple, yet refined. She lived every part of her life as an act of worship to the Lord.
β
This week, weβre looking at how that same approach can shape our walk with God, our self-care, and even our hair care routines.

π‘ QUICK CROWN TIP
β
Faithful Hair Care Starts at the Roots
β
Just as a plant's roots draw life from deep within the soil, you can approach how you care for your hair in a similar fashion. Build consistency in your hair routines by pairing the time you care for your hair with prayer or scripture meditation. It will keep you grounded in your faith, and not just a habit. It also helps you steer clear of idolizing or obsessing over your hair.

β ππΌ TREASURE THIS
The Quiet Strength of Stewardship
The Proverbs 31 woman showed us that how we care for what God allows to flow through our hands can be a form of worship.
β
The same principles she applied to her life can be used to care for ourselves: This includes our physical bodies, our emotional health, and our spiritual life.
β
Here are some ways you can practice this kind of faithful stewardship in your own life:
β
- Set purposeful routines: Schedule time for both spiritual growth and personal care, knowing they can work together so you can live a balanced life.
- Prepare before the need arises: Just as she planned ahead for her household, think about what you can do today to make tomorrow smoother. Whether thatβs making sure you have the hair products and tools you need for effective hair care or prepping for your quiet time with your Bible, pens, highlighters, a concordance, and note pads in a specific spot in your home you spend time in regularly
- Work with a willing spirit: Approach your daily responsibilities and self care with gratitude, seeing them as opportunities to honor God rather than obligations to check off.
- Care for yourself without guilt: Remember that your well-being matters to the Lord. Nurturing your body (that includes your hair, skin, and even nails) and spirit equips you to better serve others. And, serving is the example that Jesus taught us.
β
And, here are five pillars of faithful stewardship you can begin living out today: β
- Community & Fellowship: Surround yourself with like-minded believers, which helps strengthen your walk with God
- Prayer: Make prayer a constant companion to keep you connected to the heart of God.
- Gratitude: Keep track of the blessings you experience each day, which helps shift your focus to how abundantly God has provided for you.
- Scripture: Feed your spirit daily through reading, reflection, and memorization.
- Rest & Stewardship of Resources: Honor Godβs design for rest and treat your finances with care, remembering you are a steward, not an owner.
β
When you see your daily responsibilities with a godly mindset, they stop feeling like a never-ending list and start becoming intentional acts of worship.
β
