Hi Reader,

As you know, yesterday was Valentine’s Day. But regardless of whether you celebrated or it felt like just another day, what I have to share this week is for you.

Valentine’s Day can stir up feelings of insecurity for some. And maybe you’ve wrestled with insecurity too, not just on Valentine’s Day, but on the days you look in the mirror and don’t quite like what you see.

I want to help shift any negative feelings that may be lingering.

Here’s what I pulled together for you this week….

📍FOR YOUR FEED

Satan’s Playbook to Destroy Women’s Sense of Self-Worth

If Valentine’s Day stirred even a hint of insecurity about your relationship status, your body, your hair, or your self worth, it is not you.

These are lies the enemy tries to plant so they can take root in your heart. Lies that whisper you are not enough. Not pretty enough. Not talented enough. Just not enough.

In this article, I expose ten lies the enemy feeds us and what God has to say about each one. Because confidence does not begin in the mirror. It begins with truth.. Read the article

đź’ˇ FAITHFUL STRAND TIP

If your hair frizzes quickly after styling, make sure you are not doing this one thing: touching it while it dries.

Constant fluffing, separating, or checking your curls before they are fully dry disrupts the curl pattern and creates frizz.

Let your hair dry completely before you start separating. When you are patient, your definition remains.

When Insecurity Drives Your Decisions

Do you ever find yourself checking your hair more than once before walking out the door?

Maybe you are prone to buying all the products under the sun that you see influencers use because you quietly think, "This could work."

And then after all of that, frustration still creeps in.

The style is not quite right.

The products are not working the way you imagined.

These things may seem minor to some, but they can easily show up as insecurities that start to influence how you care for yourself.

Left unchecked, insecurity does not just stay in your thoughts.

It shapes your actions.

It shows up in how you spend.
How you use your time.
How you speak about your body.
Even how you treat your hair.

That is where the shift has to happen.

Instead of reacting to insecurity, begin caring for yourself intentionally.

Begin practicing stewardship.

Stewardship is about caring well for what God has entrusted to you. That includes:

  • your time
  • your money
  • your relationships
  • and yes, even your hair.

Performance says, “I need to fix this.”

Stewardship says, “I will care for this well.”

Inside the Faithful Strand Academy, we walk through identity and practical hair care step by step so your routines are rooted in truth, not insecurity.

If that kind of structure would help you, you can learn more here.

💬 PAUSE & PONDER

Valentine’s Day comes and goes.
But how you see yourself remains.

Are you caring for yourself from insecurity or from confidence?

You do not need a holiday to remind you that you matter.

God has already spoken about your worth.

Let that truth shape how you care for yourself this week.

With you,
Michelle
