Friction can sometimes be a good thing. The friction that God allows into our lives to mold us more into His image is the good kind of friction. Then, there's the friction that we as human beings create in our own lives. That kind of friction causes... Damage. With your hair, it is the rough handling, tension styling, and neglect. The constant friction and resistance can quickly undo any progress you've made. Spiritually, friction looks like a life that makes room for everything but God. But you miss prioritizing the one thing that brings true ease and peace. A relationship with your Creator. Without that, even our good efforts fall flat. Friction remains. The truth is, lasting growth in both your hair and your faith requires more than effort. That is what I want to help you nurture.
