HI Reader,

โ€‹

Before I head off to take PTO for a week (celebrating CJ's 25th and making up for missing Christmas vacay because he was in the hospital), I wanted to pop into your inbox with some encouragement.

โ€‹

This week's newsletter addresses a mindset that many women have about natural hair that I'd like to help shift. Let's dive in.

Your Hair Isnโ€™t a Mistake: What the Bible Says About Our Design

Many women wonder what the Bible says about natural hair and whether their hair reflects Godโ€™s design. This Christian perspective on natural hair invites you to see your hair not as something to correct, but as part of Godโ€™s intentional design. Continue Readingโ€‹

๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ TREASURE THIS

Identity in Christ vs Hair Trends

Hair trends shift constantly. What is trending today is often dismissed by tomorrow (or a few months). So, when our confidence is tied to what is popular, caring for our hair can easily become stressful rather than joyful.

โ€‹

Scripture reminds us that our identity was established by God, not shaped by culture. Your hair is not something to fix or correct to earn acceptance. It is part of how you were intentionally made.

โ€‹

Let these truths anchor you:

โ€‹

  • Trends are based on people's opinions. Godโ€™s design reflects His purpose
  • Comparison creates pressure. When you are solid in your Christian identity, clarity is the result
  • Caring for your hair from a place of identity leads to consistency and peace
  • When your worth is rooted in Christ, your hair care decisions become more thoughtful and less reactive

โ€‹

If this perspective feels freeing and resonates with you in some way, could it be that you finally realize you don't need more hair care techniques? You need a different foundation for how to approach your care.

โ€‹

That is the heart behind The Faithful Strand Academy. It is a space for Christian women who want to care for their hair with intention, grounded in their identity in Christ, and supported by steady guidance rather than trend-driven pressure.

๐Ÿ’ก FAITHFUL STRAND TIP

โ€‹

Pause Before You Make Hair Changes

Many hair changes are reactions to: A photo. A comment. A trend. When you pause before making changes, you create space to respond with intention instead of pressure.

โ€‹

Before changing your routine or your products, ask yourself:
โ€‹

"Is this coming from confidence, creativity, or comparison?"

โ€‹

If it's comparison, you're being driven by reaction, and that rarely ever ends in satisfaction.

โ€‹

Many blessings to you,

Evangelist Michelle

PS. Chat next week when I'm back. Much more to share. Stay tuned...

Hi Reader, A few days ago, I shared about foundations and why we often struggle to reach certain goals without them. I also encouraged you to close any loose ends as a form of self care. So, this is just a quick reminder to close that loop ๐Ÿ˜‰But also to offer a bit more clarity on why foundations matter in your hair care, your faith, and your daily life. Why fine natural hair requires intentional careFine natural hair is not weak, but it is fragile. It requires care that is appropriate for its...
