The Faithful Living Newsletter
📅 Sunday, November 9, 2025

Hi Reader,

This time of year? It’s doing the most.

Buy this. Try that. Fix your life. Upgrade your whole self before the ball drops.

Every year this time, I lowkey get a little anxiety and start thinking, "Can you not?"

And the truth is I’m part of it, too. As a small business owner, I’m adding to the noise with promotions and bundles and offers.

But I’m also doing my best to keep it honest. To keep it useful. To keep it rooted.

So, before I send you any kind of “deal,” I want to help you take a beat. You don’t need to overhaul your routine or your life. You need space to actually see what’s already working and room to steward it well.

So yeah... let’s not spiral. Here’s what I pulled together for you this week.

📍FOR YOUR FEED
7 Ways to Simplify Your Natural Hair Regimen

If your routine feels more complicated than it needs to be, this article is your permission slip to do less. We’re talking real changes, not “drink water and pray about it” level advice (although, drink the water).

Start pulling back on the stuff that’s wearing you out. Your strands and your sanity will thank you. Read here.

💬 PAUSE & PONDER

What am I overcomplicating in the name of “doing it right”?

Where is God already inviting me to trust simple obedience?

🙌🏼 TREASURE THIS

Let Good Be Good Enough

We’ve all done it. Bought a new deep conditioner when we still haven’t finished the one in the shower.

Tried a new method because someone on YouTube promised miracles.

Downloaded another devotional while the last one’s still collecting dust.

I've done it and still sometimes do, but here's what I realize...

Adding more doesn’t always mean you're going to grow. Sometimes it just means not giving what already works a chance.

Here’s a thought: what if you actually stuck with what’s already helping you? What if you stopped trying to fix things that aren’t broken?

If your hair has been doing just fine with weekly deep conditioning, why are you suddenly adding rice water rinses, clay masks, and 3-hour long henna sessions?

Sometimes simple is working. You just got bored.

Steward what’s working. That’s the real flex.

🙏 FAITHFUL REFLECTIONS

Scripture:
Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength. But you would have none of it.
Isaiah 30:15 NLT

Reflection:
Sometimes (more times than not), life is just about resting in what God already gave you and then trusting that it's enough. Simplifying doesn't make you fall behind. It helps you to be more at peace.
